Yeah maybe, but for me once it had gone it stayed away for two months - the illness I had was a 1 day thing.
But the other symptoms CP/CPPS are not getting worse neither better.

Maybe I didn't ask so clearly ... what I was interested in is whether other passing illnesses that you might pick up have had a positive effect on the CP/CPPS symptoms; when I picked up this brief stomach bug it seemed to significantly calm the CP/CPPS symptoms - as good an effect as when I've had success with antibiotics - zero pain killers for 2 months. Seems similar to when my daughter who had bad eczema got chicken pox the eczema near enough disappeared - this is a seemingly well known…

Seems similar to when my daughter who had bad eczema got chicken pox the eczema near enough disappeared - this is a seemingly well known effect of secondary illnesses on immune-overeaction type problems.

So that makes me wonder if some CP/CPPS is partially an immune over-reaction to something, either bacteria or perhaps something otherwise innocuous. (i have asthma myself, so the over-reacting immune system is there) And if so then is it possible to regulate the CP/CPPS symptoms also. I had flu like symptoms for 1 year solid. Fevers chills weak could hardly move. Finally the flu symptoms went away one day like magic. The prostatitis remained. My guess is the body got use to the illness and adapted. one doctor told me that the fevers were due to my mind telling my body to get sick. Needless to say that doctor is no longer on my list.
trust me guys if you have prostatitis symptoms and flu like symptoms. The prostate is the culprit
