LRP for chronic Prostatitis 2 years on

June 1st was my 2 year anniversary for my LRP for debilitating chronic prostatitis. This will be my final update as I don't think much is going to change from now onward.

Symptoms

My pain has been reduced by 70% to 90% depending on the day. No more fevers or night sweats, since the surgery. I can sit down for hours now with very little discomfort. No more frequency or urgency. The remaining 10-30% discomfort is of a rectal nature sometimes after a sub optimal bowel movement if I allow myself to get constipated. I believe this may be left over scarring from the surgery but as long as I eat well and drink plenty it is a minor issue.

Side effects

I am fully continent and potent with good orgasms & no perceivable penile shrinkage that some report post surgery. In the early days after surgery I would ejaculate some urine mixed with pre-ejaculate fluid but not anymore. Just pre-ejaculate fluid at around a third of the volume of a full ejaculation. Of course I am sterile now but then I was almost sterile due to the prostatitis anyway so nothing lost there. My desire is unaffected and in fact better than it was when I was in agony from the prostatitis.

Conclusion

The agonising decision to do the surgery has turned out extremely well with no regrets. It is the bravest but most worthwhile decision I have ever made.  I can lead a normal life with no fear of prostate cancer in the future.

Update (19/08/2015)

The remaining rectal discomfort described previously is almost completely gone whilst taking quercetin. When I tried quercetin (Prosta Q)  before  the surgery it had little to no effect. Now any reputable brand of quercetin/Bromelain is extremely effective.
