Does prostatitis cause prostate cancer or infertility? Does it affect mental function? Or cause bowel disturbance?
This group will host discussions about how prostatitis may interact with and cause dysfunction with other illnesses, such as prostate cancer, and/or organ systems other than urinary and sexual, such as psychological and bowel.
A new study involving relatively young Korean men with Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS) found that treatment with alpha-blocker and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor improved semen quality. The authors assert that CPPS presents a barrier to fertility in Korean men and that treating it with the methods described may help them to come to natural conception.
