I was told that i had acute prostatitis on February 1st 2014 at the A@E department at the Royal Surrey Hospital was given Trimethoprim 200mg twice a day for 14 days by the tenth day i had such bad stomach cramps with a bad itch and feeling very unwell i was then put on Ciprofloxacin of which caused alot of my tendons to go into pain and spasm so switch to Ofloxacin well this was so bad started seeing things my gate when walking was all over the place pain in my joints lower back swelled could not sleep just a nightmare then changed to Doxycycline two tablets in migraine for four days bad bowels heart burn for hell by now doctor stop all meds i have a very sensertive gut and bowels have done for over thirty years i have had many spine operations and bowel procedures in the past have IBS felt very let down by the consultant it is not my fault that i have had such a torrid time with the anti biotics i can not take NSAID because i bleed from bowel and stomach consultant told me to take them this i refused so i was told to live with it . In the space of three months i have gone from a very fit 13 stone non drinking non smoking man to a 12stone wreck can not work suffering from bad joint tendon pain groin pain leg pain pain pain up every 2 hours for a wee feel very alone for all the problems with my body this is with out a dout the worse thing i have ever had if i loose much more muscle then my spine will be the next thing to go having spent so many years to keep my body in shape to lose it all to this condition is just to much in a dark place at the moment worried if it comes back what do i do as from what the consultant said no more anti biotics so if you have another bout you have a real problem i have been a physio and osteopath for many years helping others out of pain seems like when i needed help the door was firmly closed dont know where or what to do any help would be of help many thanks Martin
