If you have been diagnosed with prostatitis, please tell us your story: age, duration of symptoms, treatments, results, and the like.
Age: 33
Symptoms: pressure/tightness throughout the lower abdomen -- right side more pronounced, sitting and leaning forward making it worse, wearing belts/tight pants very uncomfortable; urinary frequency/hesitancy; general feeling of malaise and weakness.
Duration of Symptoms: 13 years.
Treatments Tried: antibiotics, alpha-blockers, herbal medicines, intraprostatic antibiotic injection, generic quercetin, dietary and general lifestyle change... None seemed to make much difference. Physical symptoms somewhat better after all these years; psychologically as trapped as ever.
