If you have been diagnosed with prostatitis, please tell us your story: age, duration of symptoms, treatments, results, and the like.
I'm 59. I've had prostatitis for about 6 months. Standard treatments (2 rounds of antibiotics, prostate massage, hot sitz baths, etc.) have brought no improvement, and i my 6th month, it's worse than ever. A constant burning, agitated soreness in my groin that does not respond to NSAIDs and can keep me awake at night. Plus burning urination with pain/stinging at the tip of the penis fro 10-15 minutes after done.
There's a constant pain right at my rectum, my scrotum feels heavy, swollen and "sticky" to my thighs, and sometimes the tip of my penis hurts even when no recent urination.
I occasionally have "frequent urination nights," getting up to pee 5-6 times...but that's rare. Usually just 2 times a night
