If you have been diagnosed with prostatitis, please tell us your story: age, duration of symptoms, treatments, results, and the like.: Age 31, duration 12 years. Started with golf ball feeling in rectum which is made worse after bowel movement or intercourse. Have irritable bowels and constpation which may be caused by Prostatitis. Have been diagnosed with Prostatitis and tried all mainstream treatments - antibiotics, alpha blockers and prostate massage (the massage gave me a 50% improvement for 2 weeks). Prostatitis symptoms include golf ball feeling in rectum, pain just below button which is much worse on sitting, yellow semen, white blood cells in urine, urinay frequency etc.
