Symptoms started in August of 2011, visited GP who concluded it was prostatitis after viewing ultrasound showing enlarged prostate, but low PSA count numbers in blood test results.
Prescribed Cipro...took for 3 weeks and became quite I'll from side effects and stopped drug.
Found specialist who performed drainage and analysis of fluid,.
Continued treatment with weekly drainage and enzyme / supplements ..symptoms abated.
Specialist concluded I was suffering from bacterial prostatitis based on fluid analysis.
Symptoms under control by early winter of 2012, and I was functioning fine....
Spring of 2014, symptoms return, and I decided to try a treatment of antibiotic " cocktail " comprised of Zithromax, Levaquin and Sulfatrim.....after 22 days of a proposed 60 day regimen, I became very sick from side effects and had to stop.....
With prostate drainage on a weekly basis and antibiotics, symptoms started to show improvement and I felt I was on my way to a cure.
