Acute and chronic prostatitis discussion. Arnon Krongrad, MD, moderator.

Dr. Krongrad can EDO cause pain similar to prostatis? I have had typical prostatitis symtoms for 2 years. I have recently had a TRUS that showed a calcification in the verma area that appeared to be in the ED. Also on the same side it showed a dilated ED .65cm in the area that it enters the prostate. Could this be causing all of my pain? How difficult is the to treat?

Hard to know. Many ejaculatory ducts are dilated but are associated with absolutely no pain or other symptom. What do you mean when you say you have "typical" prostatitis symptoms? What are they?
