If you have been diagnosed with prostatitis, please tell us your story: age, duration of symptoms, treatments, results, and the like.
First time,(September 2008) Suddenly i felt discomfort in my penis and visited my GP who prescribed me antibiotics but no improvements been made. I have been visiting for 3-4 months to my GP but no benefit i could get. At last my GP referred me to Urologist who did check my Prostate (DRE) and found minor tenderness and had uroflow test and Ultrasound. In ultrasound my Prostate was normal. How ever due to tenderness he prescribed me antibiotics for one week and asked my to re-check your prostate again. after one week my prostate was normal no tenderness found. Doctor asked me to stop taking any further medicines. However during my treatment for one week i felt starting pain in my upper and inner thighs. But doctor said this is ok you do not need to worry. However after 6 months i again visited same urologist and told him about thighs pain but he said this is not prostatitis u do not need to worry. Unfortunately that urologist left the country and went to Canada. Now i am feeling pain/discomfort/needleness feeling in my thighs and buttocks and groin after urination and bowel movement. Some time pain moves downward in my legs. Due to pain in buttocks makes difficult for sit for ling time. Now after period of 4 years i have visited 2 more urologist and told them about my symptoms but they said this is not prostatitis it could be some muscular issue so, no treatment given to me. Please not that i am un-married and i have never had sex with prostitutes or call girls. I do masturbate occasional but have left now. Please reply me as soon as possible as i am very upset.
