"Please get a second opinion b4 even looking at testicle removal. My understanding is you can still have pain even after an orchiectomy. Way too extreme. Plus, you'll no longer be able to make testosterone."

If you have been diagnosed with prostatitis, please tell us your story: age, duration of symptoms, treatments, results, and the like.
Was diagnosed with prostatitis in October 2011 I know just a baby, it has really affected my life to the point I have just give my job up.most of the pain is in my testicles, anus, and legs. I am struggling to walk. I am always going to the toilet for a wee but this bad because it's like peeing glass and I can not tell when I have finished or not.I can not get erections now but when I did the pain from ejaculation was horrific. My consultant just keeps saying sorry I am on morphine, anti biotics, Alfa blockers, naproxen, sleeping tablets. They say they are going to operate on my testicles just to give me a better quality of life. Love to know if anybody can help.
