Hi Smith. Thanks for the updates. You may want to paste that into your My Page ("edit" your profile) so that others who "meet" you can know about your situation.

The trial is ongoing. I shared here and there that we are seeing more cancer than expected but that's a distraction from our main purpose: to see the association of symptoms with surgical intervention. To be continued.

I would have to say that I am still in recovery mode as I am not fulled healed yet. The biggest issue is stress incontinence which will likely not disappear until the healing process is further along. On top of having prostatitis, I also had two earlier surguries-bladder neck and TURP which I was told would probably slow down my recovery.

Having said all of the above, I have very little pain and have not taken any pain killers etc. since the 3rd day after the operation. So I am very hopeful that the major symptoms of the prostatitis are behind me. My pain prior to the operation was so severe at times that I could not stop it with pain killers. I no longer have any problem sleeping etc.
