SIX MONTHS AFTER LRP SURGERY FOR CHRONIC PROSTATITIS

Today July 29, 2009 made it exactly six months I had LRP procedure done by Dr. Krongrad. My CPSI is now one from 38 before surgery. The debilitating pain and general weakness I had before surgery is total gone. I do not take any more antibiotics or Tramadol 50mg twice a day for prostate inflamation or pain because LRP took care of it. I am now back to running two miles every other day with out any urine stress incontinence. I have control of my bladder without urine leakage. Although occassionally I wake up twice to void at night. However, my erection is not yet back. I have tried viagara and levitra without any success. I do have success with vacuum pump. It works well without any side effect of medications. I still hope that my spontaneous erection will come later since I read that it takes average of six to eighteen months post LRP surgery depending on your age, general health and surgeon's hand. Overall, I am happy that I had LRP procedure done. My years of agony and pain is gone and I thank Dr. Krongrad for his expertise in LRP.

That's great IKE. What matters is that you are better off after the procedure than you were before, and there is plenty of time for improvement (1-2 yrs) in the erection department (I've heard it can be up to 2.5 years with some men). I am glad the pump is working for you for the moment. If erections are not satisfactory after a year and a half, then I've read the 3 piece prosthesis are highly successful these days. Are you still able to climax?

Nike thanks for your candid answers. I am able to climax. I strongly hope there will be improvement in the erection department.
