If you have been diagnosed with prostatitis, please tell us your story: age, duration of symptoms, treatments, results, and the like.
I am 38 now. I had a prostate infection at age 15 that was treated with antibiotics. Ten years later I had some pain in my testicle which I feared was cancer. My GP diagnosed me with epididymitus and treated it with more anitbiotics. At the time my sex drive was normal and all systems were a go. The epididymitus returned six months later and my GP ordered an ultrasound to check for any tumors (none were found).

Since that time I have been back and forth sometimes 3x's a year sometimes it would skip a year or so. Earlier this year I started having a decreased libido and some ED issues and a lot of pain in my testicle. I went and saw a Urologist and he told me he that he feared I had been mistreated for years and that the Prostatitis was the culprit! He has put me on 60 days of antibiotics. The first two weeks my libido was off the charts and everything felt normal again. The following two weeks the pain started coming back and my libido was slipping. He changed antibiotics fearing I had grown resistant to the amoxycillin.

My sex drive is almost zero now and has been that way for the past 10 days. I have a follow up with my urologist this week.
