"Martin and Shehan. How much have u guys experimented with stretches? Ive read a lot how this could be result of tight pelvic muscles. Thinking there is something to that given the weird sensation of burning in the foot etc... im giving it a go…"

If you have been diagnosed with prostatitis, please tell us your story: age, duration of symptoms, treatments, results, and the like.
I was diagnosed first at 26. Man did it hurt. I had no idea what it was and was hesitant at first to hit the doc office thinking it would just go away. When I finally did, she bent me over did the 'ol DRE and pushed real hard which caused an immense amount of burning pain all in my pelvis.
Well... since then.. I've battled this thing off and on. Mostly I think alcohol, caffeine, and certain exercises aggravate it, but I'm not sure. I'm 33 now and dealing with it yet again.
It's been one month so far, this crappy bout. Mostly of the same symptoms except this time I'm getting weird muscle fatigue in my pelvis and legs along with burning urination, burning perineum.
I get married in 6months and there is no way I want this to interfere with that big day! I'm super distressed about this and just want it to go away.
To date I've ben hitting the levaquin daily, ibuproferin, and some hot bathes. It's only helped a little..
I'm going to experiment with some stretching as I've always been a very active person (weight lift 3x week, 4mile runs 6x week).
Also, i'm scheduled for pelvic floor physical therapy in a week. I seriously need this gone like STAT.
