- If you have been diagnosed with prostatitis, please tell us your story: age, duration of symptoms, treatments, results, and the like.
- 43, had minor urinary infections / burning last 3 summers including pain in the pelvis since 2013 that subsided gradually in fall, with more water intake and cutting down caffeine. This Summer, the burning continued with cold chills and went to see Dr on June 27th. Urgent care Dr did urine test that turned negative, still recommended to take Cipro 500 mg twice a day, took 2 dose and on the second day evening, couldn't urinate. Went to ER and they put in Foley catheter, referred to Urologist. Urologist disgonized the condition as Prostatitis. Took Cipro for 14 days, stopped. The condition worsened.Urologist recommended to continue it for a month, until Sep 1st. Burning is on and off didn't find significant relief.
