- male age 38
been experiencing pain and burning in the urethra for the last 4 months. seen many urologists and they got blood, urine cultures done ... nothing. docs said i should just treat the symptoms with pain killers. last month got a semen analysis done and i high WBC was revealed. have been on levoflaxin which worked for 2 weeks , symptoms returned. changed to cefixime .. symptoms are returning ... will try another antibiotic soon. am allergic to doxycycline. have done many semen cultures but nothing. next is prostatic massage and culturing either the urine after that or EPS if there is any. changing doctors, pillar to post .... being on anti biotics for so long has made me cranky ... scared of long term affects but cannot think of getting off them. just wish i could get a diagnosis of what bacteria this is
