Also, I know numerous people that have had injections and are now in a bad situation. I think it is very bold to recommend someone for injections yet tell them no to other POSSIBLE treatments.
Same can be said for injections, IMO. I'm 33 and I have considered removing my prostate. I have seen DOCUMENTED success with it versus none with injections. I have a feeling mine will have to get taken out; I am just delaying and tolerating pain as long as possible.
Glad you found a treatment that works man, I really am, but I wouldn't push injections too fast. I have seen numerous people screwed up by them, and some of them are in worse positions than before they even started the injections. Plus, you have to remember that there are a few people really pushing the "therapy" clinic on the West Coast, yet there is rarely ever a legitimate before and after case released by them. Wonder why?
And I am by no means advocating removal as an early stage treatment. I believe that if one has tried all or most options, then removal is a legitimate option because it showing, again DOCUMENTED success.
In light of the comment that prostate removal reduces sex drive, you might find interest in this recent 2-year report. This is consistent with what we see in many other men with histories of severe chronic prostatitis. In fact, many report that their sex lives improve after prostatectomy, partly because of the resolution of the pain and "flu-like" symptoms associated with erection and orgasm. One of our other members talks about improvement in his sex life on this video.
FYI.

My question to you is this: what IS an appropriate age for one to have their prostate removed?
Artie, is this you again?
