"Hey John, How were you diagnosed with nerve damage ?  I am wondering if I have the same problem since I do a lot of exercise.  Did your nerve damage cause your prostatisis or was the nerve damaged from prostatisis ? "

"I am aware of one patient whose prostatitis is associated with severe hip pain. He has been on lots of antibiotics. We know that some antibiotics are associated with orthopedic complaints, e.g. Achilles tendon rupture. So theoretically, it's…"

Hip Problems and Prostatisis

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone has had hip issues with prostatisis. I am noticing all my pelvic pain is on one side particularly. My right testicle is the one that seems to feel discomfort (it does not hurt to touch it) and as well my right hip tends to be sore and tense (the muscles in particular). I have looked in the mirror and have noticed that the right side of my lower body tends to protrude slightly more than my left. Could this misalignment be potentially causing my…See More

Risk Factors and Causes

In many cases, it's impossible to know why symptoms begin. In others, the causes seem clear. The discussions here will examine factors that mark a higher risk of prostatitis and ask if any of these risk factors actually cause it.See More

The doctor ran tests for various STDS (although I don't think they can detect trich well in males) and all came up clear. I am not sure if the prostatitis is bacterial. But the antibiotic seems to be working well. My story is as follows... Over the last few months  I have undergone a lot of stress. I wrote the law school entrance exam and my girlfriend moved away to another city, so we are doing a…See More

Profile Information

If you have been diagnosed with prostatitis, please tell us your story: age, duration of symptoms, treatments, results, and the like.
I was diagnosed very recently. I am age 26. My problems aren't excessive yet. I have a dull pain in my abdomen, pain in my lower back (assuming its from the lower prostate) and a certain degree of sexual dysfunction (its not too bad yet).
