Acute and chronic prostatitis discussion. Arnon Krongrad, MD, moderator.
Hello everyone and congrats for the site.
Here my case:
I am 37 years old, skinny, active lifestyle, good daily food habits.
In November 2011 I had typical prostatitis symptoms (fever, frequent urination) and was treated with an antibacterial.
(sorry but I don’t remember which bacteria it was found).
Last week I went for screening and the semen test found Enterococcus Faecalis. No symptoms at all, I am fine.
Today I went to see my urologist, and he was worried because just 5 months have passed, and he is worried my Acute Prostatitis might become Chronic.
Now I am home, I went online, and after reading many sites, I thought I do not have Acute Prostatitis, but asymptomatic prostatitis, since I do have bacteria but not symptoms at all.
What do you think? Might I have Acute P even without symptoms?
Few years ago I had suffered of hematospermia and I could feel my prostate was bigger than normal. I was treated after that.
But now I do not feel my prostate is bigger.
I do thank you in advance
