If you have been diagnosed with prostatitis, please tell us your story: age, duration of symptoms, treatments, results, and the like.
I am 52 years old and a rectal cancer patient with a permanent colostomy. My experience with this began a few years back but not diagnosed as prostatic us until now.

I have been sent to infectious disease specialist as well as pain management clinics. Spent days on end at the hospital only to be told I'm ok. At one point I was running a fever every day about the same time. It would be anywhere from 101 to 102.5. When I told my oncologist he said I should come to his office when that happens so they can confirm it really does happen. I wanted to email him a picture of a rectal thermometer in my rectum, this was before they took it out, so he could see for himself I wasn't dreaming this shit up. But I didnt.

The most fun was being treated like a crack head at the pain management clinic. They tried 8or nine different drugs before I quit going. One drug they tried made me hallucinate.

So here I am. I need to get more chemo but refuse to have any treatment until we can fix my prostate or get the pain way down. I have missed 3 weeks of work in the last month due to this and other surgery. The urologist I see now put a stent in due to a problem with my liver and just took it out last week and now the pain has escalated. I have no rectum so he can't do any DRE. He changes the subject when I try to get more info on the Prostatitus. He gave me more antibiotics and told me to see him in a month. My pain is severe and my right nut is not swollen but extremely sensitive. I don't think I can be anymore frustrated and I am in fear of loosing my job.

Good day,
How is everything with you, I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very important to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site. Could you please get back to me on my private email(jeanpierre20200@gmail.com) if you dont mind ?
Have a nice day and God bless you,
