- If you have been diagnosed with prostatitis, please tell us your story: age, duration of symptoms, treatments, results, and the like.
- I just recently was diagnosed with Chronic Prostatitis. I'm only 24 years old. My symptoms began occurring when I was planning with my girlfriend to teach english in Korea for a year. The process was extremely stressful with many hang ups along the way.
I've had minor symptoms for a few months now
-slight increase in frequency of urination
- occasional tingling at tip of my penis
but within the last month the symptoms have become much more severe
- frequent urination (~10 times a day)
- only passing small amounts of urine at a time
- constant numb pain in penis and testicles
- constipation
- occasional pain/itch in rectal area
- general fatigue
- premature ejaculation
I went to see a number of doctors to rule out an STD and finally a urologist diagnosed me with chronic prostatitis. I'm suppose to leave for Korea this week and he told me to go ahead. I'm just nervous because he didn't prescribe anything for me and I will not have an easy time finding english health care where I am going.
