My current situation (in need of advice?)

*In advance, if you don't feel like reading all of this, just read the last paragraph. It sums it all up.Okay so what seems to be the problem with many cases is that nobody can recall what caused their problem. Me however, I know exactly what caused it. Ever since 15, I've had terrible masturbation habits. I would go 3-4 weeks without ejaculation. I always liked the challenge of seeing how long I could go without masturbating. Then I'd go 1-2 weeks of doing it anywhere between once and four…See More

Signs that prostatitis is getting worse?

Hey guys, I've been really off and on with my symptoms lately and just wanted to get some feedback. My urethra tneds to burn maybe twice a day. I maybe get perineal pain two or three times a day as well. However, I'm getting an odd stomach ache and it is very powerful. I've been having it since June where it would come and go but I'm starting to wonder. The source of the pain feels like it's behind my belly button so I don't know if it's prostate related. However, it is possible that my…See More

"Thanks Blake and Thomas. I came to this site just as a means of communicating my situation. For months, I've been told this is prostatitis. I believe with these two issues (prostatitis and epididymitis), you need to do your own research and…"

"Taking out the epididymus works for a few people, but not a high number. Same with taking out the testicle. As I posted above, check out microsurgical denervation of the spermatic cord. The results for this are much more impressive. I also suffer…"

"Thanks Thomas, I'll look into it. Blake, I recommend you get better health care. It sounds like your dealing with an ignoratn emerge doctor. My family doctor is well aware that my urine and such is clear. She also knows I am no hypochondriac as…"

"No, it's not injections in your groin. It's where they cut the nerves in your spermatic cord. This means the pain signals from your testicle or epididymus are cut off. It usually preserves the spermatic cord itself and thus doesn't…"

"Is that the nerve injections inserted in your groin? If so, my doctor has also suggested those. My appointment Friday, we're going to make a careful plan and strict regime. They're suggesting that removal of the testicle or epdidymis will…"

"Trevor, Before you think about removing your testicle, you might check out microsurgical denervation of the spermatic cord. It's a relatively simple procedure and seems to be really effective for many guys."

A good note

I've managed to get out of my depressing funk a bit. It's enough to make a difference. I went from picturing a dead end to a unique determination. I have my goals to get over this and my goals for when this gets better. Refraining from many activities hasn't been easy. But I know that some day I'll be back at it. I haven't felt much perineal pain lately and my urethra burn has been quite managable. It's this testicular pain thats a huge culprit and if this lasts for any while longer, I think…See More

Next step to take

I am at the point where very little is enjoyable. I can hardly enjoy a video game or movie at this point. At times, the urethral burning gets to me but I find If I drink enough water, it's not as bad. However, my testicular symptoms are starting to annoy me and have me sleeping for a majority of the day. This makes me question what I really have. I'm refraining from sexual and physical activity until I figure the next step as no relief is provided anymore. No doctor has really said anything…See More

If you have been diagnosed with prostatitis, please tell us your story: age, duration of symptoms, treatments, results, and the like.
I am 19 years old and was diagnosed in January. I've been on antibiotics since then with minor results. My doctor is doing everything she can to make it better which is nice. My symptoms are pretty much urethral pain, pain in the right testicle and the odd sting in the perineum. As depressing as this condition is, I am currently trying to overcome it.
