Dave,
I have other symptoms also. I feel like I have the flu almost everyday( I get body aches, back pain etc). I take ibuprofen which helps. I've had many tests but all they show is a high white blood count. I went to different doctors and no one can tell me for sure what I have or if it's related to my prostate. It's interesting that you have simmilar symptoms.
I am a firm believer that when you have a chronic condition, such as chronic prostatitis, the body does not react immunologically like it does to an acute illness... So, theoretically in my view, when you are hit with an acute infection, the body comes out fighting, and the release of immunologic cells and endorphins, etc., knock down the prostatitis also... Then, when the immune system has conquered the acute illness, it again lets its guard down, and the chronic prostatitis rears it's ugly head again.... That is just my theory though..
