I saw a total of eight different urologist over five yr period. the antibiotics never really did me any good. ocasionaly an antibiotic…

Got called up for the army physical in 1967 and amazingly flunked the exam due to puss in my urine, which I never knew I had. No pain, no discomfort just puss. It saved me from the horrible war in Vietnam. That was the first sign of things to come. Fast forward six years, after some experimenting with cocaine and grass, terrible itching in the groin which no one could figure out. It was only years later I attributed it to my intolerance to grass and other party drugs to which I was never…

Dr. Krongrad can EDO cause pain similar to prostatis? I have had typical prostatitis symtoms for 2 years. I have recently had a TRUS that showed a calcification in the verma area that appeared to be in the ED. Also on the same side it showed a dilated ED .65cm in the area that it enters the prostate. Could this be causing all of my pain? How difficult is the to treat?

Has anyone with CP had painful bowel movements associated with it? Also, has it gone away after the surgery?

Well, I have had 3 prostatic injections by Dr. Bahn so far approximately 10-14 days apart. I did not have any significant improvement after the first 2 but I have noticed some improvement after the 3rd. Also, we have seen improvements in the ultrasound. I had an enlarged left lobe and a bulbous and distended right seminal vesicle (vesiculitis). Now, the blood flow has increased in the left lobe and the lesion is much smaller, about a 50% improvement according to Dr. Bahn. The right SV…

I've decided to keep an online journal here of what's going on since I've really failed over the last year to keep track of everything. Today my husband called the urologist and asked if there was an appointment sooner than the 18th and there was. TODAY! They decided to fit him in this afternoon. We get to the office and a panic attack sets in. A very real and physical panic attack complete with fainting, chills, shaking, and tingling sensations throughout his limbs. The same thing happened…

I decided to join this site, if for anything else, to just be able to talk about this in a community that might understand. My husband, Paul, has been suffering from severe symptoms of Chronic Prostatitis since around the end of November, 2009. His old GP recognized the symptoms right away and referred him to a urologist who then officially diagnosed him with CP. He has only done medication treatments and one massage session. I know little to nothing about medical terminology and CP even…
