Can prostate removal for prostatitis really offer a cure for suffering men?

I think the color ultrasound dr bahn uses allows him to see dark areas in the prostate which represent infection. D bahns uses the latest technology, i am looking forward to my appointment with him next month.
I am very happy for you imnotcrazy. I know we have had our disagreements in the past, but that doesn't change the fact that your a honest straight shooter. Thanks for your honest posting. Hopefully your progress continues.
It's truly astonishing that of all the urologists throughout the world treating chronic prostatitis, it's only Dr Bahn who treats this illness successfully. It's only Dr Bahn--among the tens of thousands of urologists out there---who can correctly diagnose whether the prostate is infected with bacteria, without even doing a prostate massage. Amazing.
Which begs the question:
What is wrong with the other urologists?
Are they blind?
Are they stupid?
Or is that they simply don't they care?
Surely, Dr Bahn should be on prime-time news, explaining to the rest of the sleepy-eyed urological world just how to correctly treat this disease.
good job doctor Krongrad
pproval of Ground Breaking Clinical Trial for Chronic Prostatitis
Multidisciplinary team headed by the Krongrad Institute launches ground breaking trial of minimally invasive surgery for Chronic Prostatitis
Chronic prostatitis is associated with a cluster of potentially debilitating symptoms, including pain and bleeding upon urination and/or ejaculation, fever, malaise, and weakness. In severe cases, patients have pain from such mundane acts as sitting.
Chronic prostatitis is not only potentially ruinous at the personal level. It is also a huge public health problem estimated to cause as many as two million doctor visits a year in the United States alone.
The Krongrad Institute for Minimally Invasive Prostate Surgery has just received IRB approval to conduct a prospective, longitudinal, non-randomized, single-arm Phase II study of patients with a diagnosis of chronic prostatitis before and after laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, a form of minimally invasive surgery.
"Individual clinical cases have shown that surgery using laparoscopic radical prostatectomy can eliminate the symptoms associated with chronic prostatitis. This represents a conceptual revolution for men who otherwise have no effective treatment option. The study -- the first of its kind -- aims to better characterize and quantify the effects of minimally invasive surgery on the symptoms of chronic prostatitis," said the study's principal investigator Arnon Krongrad, MD.
The study is being led by Arnon Krongrad, MD, who in 1999 pioneered the use of laparoscopic prostatectomy in the United States; Dr. Krongrad will personally perform all the surgeries. The team also includes co-investigator and statistician Shenghan Lai, MD, PhD, Professor of Epidemiology, Medicine, Pathology, and Radiology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and Rajiv Parti, MD, an anesthesiologist and Director of Advanced Pain Medicine at the Pain Institute of California; Dr. Parti himself had a 20-year history of chronic prostatitis, which was effectively treated by laparoscopic radical prostatectomy.

Well thats really good Dr Krongrad, the only thing is that the price continues being too high, 36000 US Dollars is unacheivable (at least for me); but for sure i would really likes be part of the study.
Well, I had been in touch with t secretary of Dr Eden, and she ask me a referral letter from my Urologist here in Poland (i dont know which one from the 11 of them), finally i found one -at least- in disposition to write something similar to a Ref. Letter, (the rest refuse it, i think is something related with t national character PISED OFF ) but he writes instead of chronical prostatitis, Pelvic Pain Sindrom -i dont know why when he even doesnt make a properly test-, but he argues that due my EPS (expressed prostatic test) negative, he cannot say nothing different....whatever, t secretary told me that Dr Eden will study my case and he wills made a decision these week. Chris was the same with you when u visit Dr Eden?
Th emost important its that i made a decision now im only waiting the date to have a meeting with doctor Eden and realize the surgery at once.. at least the fastest possible, because i cannot resist any longer with that crab; maybe is not a mortal illness but is killing me every single day.. i no have fun from my dialy life.
If some body pray here, please can include me in your prayers? i really need it and i would really apreciate it. I will comunicates you how is going.
My best regards and good energy for every body here,
German.
