Acute and chronic prostatitis discussion. Arnon Krongrad, MD, moderator.
I had a LRP for chronic prostatitis in 2010 and have since had to deal with varying degrees of ED. Over the last seven years I have tried every method available to help but none were 100% favorable. On Oct 13 2017 I had a AMS 700 CX implant installed surgically. As of today it has been a little over 3 weeks since my surgery. I am posting in case there are others who too have had a LRP and are considering the implant. I am open to all questions.

June 1st was my 2 year anniversary for my LRP for debilitating chronic prostatitis. This will be my final update as I don't think much is going to change from now onward.
Symptoms
My pain has been reduced by 70% to 90% depending on the day. No more fevers or night sweats, since the surgery. I can sit down for hours now with very little discomfort. No more frequency or urgency. The remaining 10-30% discomfort is…

I just want to say how glad I am I decided to have my prostate removed back in 2010. I had suffered with chronic prostatitis for so many years and my health had deteriorated because of it. Years of antibiotics had affected my whole system in a very negative way. I am very thankful I found Dr Krongrad and appreciate the fact that he and other doctors are willing to help men with this dreaded disease. My health has improved greatly since my surgery. It didn't happen overnight but with a…

So. I was wondering if there could be a way for people to notice our collective ailments. Prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, the general idea of there being muscular causes of pain, and the often-ridiculously-understudied -and-ignored transferring of sexually transmitted bacteria that causes permanent or really debilitating issues for most men
These are all ignored by the medical community. We aren't getting any help. We're told that its all in our heads, that we should seek help and…

Okay so what seems to be the problem with many cases is that nobody can recall what caused their problem. Me however, I know exactly what caused it. Ever since 15, I've had terrible masturbation habits. I would go 3-4 weeks without ejaculation. I always liked the challenge of seeing how long I could go without masturbating. Then I'd go 1-2 weeks of doing it anywhere…

Hey guys, I've been really off and on with my symptoms lately and just wanted to get some feedback. My urethra tneds to burn maybe twice a day. I maybe get perineal pain two or three times a day as well. However, I'm getting an odd stomach ache and it is very powerful. I've been having it since June where it would come and go but I'm starting to wonder. The source of the pain feels like it's behind my belly button so I don't know if it's prostate related. However, it is possible that my…

I've managed to get out of my depressing funk a bit. It's enough to make a difference. I went from picturing a dead end to a unique determination. I have my goals to get over this and my goals for when this gets better. Refraining from many activities hasn't been easy. But I know that some day I'll be back at it. I haven't felt much perineal pain lately and my urethra burn has been quite managable. It's this testicular pain thats a huge culprit and if this lasts for any while longer, I think…

I am at the point where very little is enjoyable. I can hardly enjoy a video game or movie at this point. At times, the urethral burning gets to me but I find If I drink enough water, it's not as bad. However, my testicular symptoms are starting to annoy me and have me sleeping for a majority of the day. This makes me question what I really have. I'm refraining from sexual and physical activity until I figure the next step as no relief is provided anymore. No doctor has really said anything…
